Sandblasting process of Ceramic Beads

Ceramic beads, also known as zirconia ceramic blasting beads, are mainly used for pretreatments to the surface of the metal workpiece before spraying.
It is made by melting method in 2000 degree high temperature, specially suitable for sandblasting and shot peening in the production and maintenance of metal parts and light alloy parts.
The quality of the pre-blasting process affects the adhesion, appearance, moisture resistance and corrosion resistance of the coating. If the pre-treatment work is not good, the rust will continue to spread under the coating, causing the coating to fall off. Sandblasting is the most thorough, versatile and broadest method of all surface cleaning methods. So, what is the ceramic beads blasting process?
1. Check the workpiece condition
Scratch, Slag, Indentation, Mold marks, Missing side, Raw edges, Corrosion, Angular line, Not chamfered, Deformation, Glue etc.
Inspection conditions: Under the irradiation of a 40W fluorescent lamp, the product was placed at a distance of 30 cm from the examiner's eyes for inspection.
Molding method: the special mold is placed on the flat mold table, and the good product that has been inspected is put into the mold. Then, according to the sandblasting conditions of different products, put them on the corresponding conveyor belt, and spray the opposite side/front side.
3. Reverse / positive Sandblasting
1). Adjust the different air pressures and speeds according to the different needs of each part, and open the required sandblasting gun.
2). Hang the mold of the product, No stop or drop the machine during the sandblasting process.
3). The product should not touch the chassis, and the position should be within the specified range.
4). When taking the mold, the unfinished product should not be pulled out, and the mold can be taken out when it reaches the specified position.
4. Sandblasting process unloading
1) Unloading method: Pull the mold out of the conveyor belt, and use the air gun to blow the sand in the mold and put it on the table.
2) Remove the parts from the mold frame and place them on the cardboard according to the regulations. The parts should be kept at a distance of 10 mm.
5. Visual inspection (finished products)
Inspection conditions: Under the irradiation of a 40W fluorescent lamp, the product was placed at a distance of 30 cm from the examiner's eyes.
