Ceramic beads application: Micro-blasting of medical equipment parts
The use of ceramic beads can slightly trim the sharp surface of the surgical knife. It can remove small burrs formed during the grinding process of surgical cutting tools without damaging the cutting surface. In addition to the production of surgical tools, the micro-sandblasting process can also be used to polish the tools for reuse.
Hypodermic needles need to be ground to produce a sharp tip, and the end usually has sharp edges and burrs. The burrs must be removed and the needle tail must be ground into a rounded corner. The needle tubes can be arranged in a row and sandblasted with glass beads or ceramic beads at a 90 degree angle. The glass beads/ceramic media sanding round edges and deburring are excellent, and will not change the strict pipe diameter tolerance.
